Recently we’ve been following a local producer / DJ based right here in Colorado. He goes by the name Hollidayrain and has been putting out a good variety of quality electronic, house and trance tracks. Anything from original production work to remixes done for other artists that have been released on official albums and have charted on XM’s BPM station (more on his soundcloud page). After listening in on some of his newer work and witnessing a live act he performed (midi controllers, bollywood samples and dope beats involved!) for a South Asian event that took place at the university – we were really impressed and wanted him to be involved with the show! …

May 1st show featured a whole line up of new sounds. We kicked the show off with BeeGee’s bhangra remix of their hit track – Staying Alive (1977) – remixed by UK’s finest bollywood mixmaster BallySagoo.
We then jump into a fresh bollywood soundtrack release done by India’s grammy award winning and top producers – AR Rahman. The name of the soundtrack Raavan and the production work done on the tracks are absolutely fresh, refreshing and is highly recommended a listen. Tracks that i’m digging right now – Ranjha Ranjha & Beera Beera. I know that in the course of the next few months as I listen to the soundtrack some more i’m gonna love the entire soundtrack!
April – BeatsFromTheEast Update!
Its has been a long time since our last update to BeatsFromTheEast.com! But we’re back and we’re bringing a whole round of updates that’s been missed during the last few months. During this time we had a chance to fit some travel to Dubai and connect with many djs and producers across the globe to bring in some more great music to BeatFromTheEast in the coming months. So we’re really excited about the shows in the coming months and we plan on keeping the blog posts regular!

Big news! We have one of South Asia’s top pop talent coming down to Denver at our next bollywood, bhangra & asian fusion club gig – Raghav! More details below:
The event is 18+ and will be held at City Hall, Denver. We’ll have a live dj set put on by the crew @ BeatsFromTheEast (Dj AshishB) and we’ll have Raghav jump in for a live performance!
