Timbaland’s – Shock Value

Miapoll1The long awaited album has finally come through – Timbo’s new album titled – Shock Value. The album is more on the commercialized side of things it features big names like Nelly Furtado / Justin Timberlake / Dr. Dre / Missy Elliott / 50 Cent / Tony Yayo / Fall out boy + more. But more importantly there is a Track with Amar and MIA ! The track with Track with Amar is called Bombay (not a typical Timbaland club track;gotta hear it) and the track feat. MIA is called Come Around (again not a club track but definitely a good listen! – depending if you like MIA or not – she’s got a completely different vibe).

With all these big names you would expect the producer to just let the artist roll their generic scene and provide them with a bland / slightly trendy beats and basically focus on the talent more…but no; that is definitely not the case with this album – every track has fantastic production work coming from Timbaland! and you can tell that from the get go with the first few tracks.  But to be honest, i personally liked a handful a lot

  • The Way I are
  • Bombay
  • Throw It On Me
  • One And Only
  • 2 Man Show

ShockvalueThis doesn’t mean that i didn’t like the other tracks – its basically what had caught my attention at first listen. Maybe in a few months it’ll be interesting to see what tracks get escalated on the commercial charts. Try and give it a listen – the last i remember…he had them all up on his myspace page.
